Dear Valued Business Owner/Manager,
In an effort to better provide fire protection services to your business as well as to our entire area, the Frankton Volunteer Fire Department is attempting to do a pre-fire plan for all businesses and multi-family residences in our response area of Lafayette Township, Jackson Township and the Town of Frankton. Due to our firefighters being entirely volunteer and putting forth multiple hours responding to calls, fundraising and training, it would be nearly impossible for us to visit every commercial occupancy annually as we would like to. Due to this we have put together a brief pre-plan questionnaire that we request you fill out and return to us. We also ask that you attach a site plan/map for your facility. We know that your time is also very valuable but in doing this we want you to know that we will be much better prepared to respond to an emergency at your facility, allowing us to limit damage to property or possible injury to your employees and/or occupants.
Once we have received your completed pre-plan form, we will review your information as well, as your site plan. We will then review to determine any high risk potential within your facility and look at scheduling a site visit, if needed. Our goal is to eventually visit all businesses and multi-family occupancies within our area, although we are unsure an exact time frame of completing this, we will schedule based on potential risk of high priority items, such as life safety and property conservation.
